• Estrogen & progesterone  Prepares mammary tissues
• Prolactin Inhibiting Hormon (PIH)
• Prolactin  stimulates milk production
• Sucking stimulus  inhibits PIH and stimulates oxytocin release
• Oxytocin  stimulates milk release reflex
