Three Distinct type of Leadership Styles

- sensitive and understands

disagreements
- Suitable for organizations where
subordinates are trained, experienced and
skilled
Autocratic or Dictatorial Type

- Uses authority or title


- Has an obsession for control
- Domineering toward staff members but
submissive to superior officers
- Rigid and reluctant to delegate authority
- Not permitting staffs to participate in the
decision making.
Laissez Faire Type

- French phrase “ Let Do”


- gives complete freedom to group or
individual decisions with the minimum
leader participations or direction
- merely supplies and remains apart from
the group
- participates only when required
- Makes no attempt to evaluate or
regulate the members of the groups
progress
- Leads to the lowest productivity
among the group members
