Komposisi Cangkang

• Shell of gastropod class has 3 main layers which secreted

by mantle :
• Ostracum : Middle layer made from CaCO3.
• Periostracum : Outer layer which resist to streches and
give color to the shell.
• Shell nacre : Inner layer with soft texture which
contact with gastropod’s body.
