Placental abnormalities

Abnormalities of Rope :
- - Too short / long
- wrapped around the umbilical cord

Abnormalities of amniotic fluid


- Polyhydramnios, amniotic fluid over 2000 cc
- Olygohydramnion, amniotic fluid less than 500 cc
Fetal Disorder

• - Hydrocephalus

Mother Disorder
Generally derived from the disease suffered by the
mother. Like cardiovascular disease and respiratory
system
- Cardiovascular Disease
• Pregnancy will cause changes in the cardiovascular
system. Women with cardiovascular disease and
become pregnant, there will be reciprocal effects
that can be detrimental The woman's life
opportunity.
HEART DISEASE

• In a normal-hearted pregnancy, women can adjust to


physiologic changes.
The change is caused by:
• 1. Hipervolemia: begins pregnancy 8 weeks & The peak
is 28-32 mgg then settled
• 2. Heart & diaphragm pushed upward because
enlargement of the uterus.
• 3. In pregnancy:
Heart rate and pulse ↑
Heart blow ↑
Blood pressure: ↓ few.
Breathing Channels
4 important factors that occur in pregnancy closely related to
the respiratory function:
1.Uteri more bigger >
pushing the diaphragm to ↑, so that the chest cavity narrow,
breathing so fast (hyperventilation)
2. Hormonal changes
progesterone ↑, respiratory sal muscle becomes loose,
occurrence of hyperventilation
3. Increased blood volume & cardiac out put in the effort to
save the fetus as well as meet the increasing metabolic needs
of ↑ mothers.
4. Immunologic changes.
IgE can rise ↑ / down ↓ to pregnant women. When lgE levels
increase ↑, causing more susceptible & more frequent
asthma / heavier attacks.
