Acceleration and Deceleration
Introduction
Two kinds of Acceleration and Deceleration (Acc/Dec) control
methods have been developed which are classified based on the
order in which the Acc/Dec control is executed;
Acc/Dec Control Before Interpolation (ADCBI)  high speed/accuracy
machining
Acc/Dec Control After Interpolation (ADCAI)
The ADCBI method is constructed differently according to the
interpolation type such as linear-, exponential- and S-curve-type
interpolation.
The ADCBI needs to hold a lot of information, related to all the
interpolated points, a large amount of memory is required for
executing this type of Acc/Dec control  no machining errors.
ADCAI method is applied in an identical manner for all interpolation
methods  simple, machining errors occur
The ADCAI method has been widely used for NC and Motion
Control systems in both hardware and software interpolation

NCK functional procedure with ADCAI

Acc/Dec Control After Interpolation
The Acc/Dec control algorithm for
the ADCAI method is based on
digital filter theory :: if input signal
x[n] is entered into the filter with
impulse response h[n], the output
signal y[n] is represented by the
convolution of h[n] and x[n]
Acc/Dec Control After Interpolation
The Acc/Dec control algorithm for
the ADCAI method is based on
digital filter theory :: if input signal
x[n] is entered into the filter with
impulse response h[n], the output
signal y[n] is represented by the
convolution of h[n] and x[n]
