• All Students at EMBA start their studies with minimum 4 years working
experience. While their backgrounds are diverse, they share the same
ambition: to incorporate prior knowledge with managerial insights and skills
at a business school that can lead them to achieving a successful business
career.
• Irrespective of the next job we take up post-EMBA, most of us want to have
a general management career in the long run. Thus, general management
may not be the next job but it will surely be the chosen career path of most
EMBA participants.

program that offers you rigorous and relevant content and a relationship
that will enhance your personal and corporate brand.

LUMS (Lahore University of Management Sciences)
• The LUMS MBA is a two-year program based on a series of core and elective courses.
The Summer Orientation Program (SOP), offered in August prior to the official
commencement of classes, eases the transitional stage of students into the regular
MBA by providing fundamental skill enhancement modules in communication,
business mathematics, accounting, computer applications and statistics. In the first
and second year, all students are expected to complete 11 core courses.
• MBA Elective Courses comprises of the following 5 categories
1. General Management
2. Marketing
3. Organizational Behavior/HRM
4. Operations and IT Management
5. Accounting and Finance
Universities in Pakistan
IBA (Institute of Business Administration)
• The duration of this program may vary depending on the capacity of the students to complete the
course load during each semester. The minimum time allowed is 2/12 years, while the maximum
duration for completing the program is 7 years. The evening program consists of 12 Core Courses and
12 Elective. A total of 72 credit units are needed for completing the evening program. A minimum of 4
electives are needed to complete a major in a specialized field.
• MBA Elective Courses comprises of the following 6 categories
1. Marketing
2. Human Resource Management
3. General Management
4. Finance
5. Accounting & Law
6. Management Information System

HBS (Harvard Business School)
• Harvard employs a learning process known as the case method. The case method is an
interactive approach to business study that brings reality into the classroom. The Harvard
Business School faculty works with a variety of organizations to research and write more
than 350 new cases each year, ensuring that the curriculum stays up to date.
• Programs:
MBA Programs ,Executive Education, Doctoral Programs
• MBA Program:
• The MBA Program focuses on general management skills. During the first year of the
program, all students are required to take the same course of study. The required
curriculum includes, Finance, Financial Reporting, Marketing, Technology and Operations
Management, Business Economy, Strategy, and Negotiation.
During the second year of study, students may choose from a wide range of curriculums
that span all aspects of business.

Wharton Business School
• The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business is consistently
recognized as one of the top business schools in the U.S. Renowned for innovative
teaching methods and a wide range of academic programs and resources, Wharton
boasts the world's largest and most cited faculty.
• Programs:
• Undergraduate Program ,MBA Program , MBA Program for Executives Doctoral
Programs ,Executive Education ,Certificate Programs ,Summer Programs
• MBA Program:
• The MBA Program offers a wide range of classes that give students the power to
create their own individualized major. After completing the first year of core
curriculum, students have the opportunity to concentrate on their individual
interests and goals. Wharton offers 18 majors to choose from in all. Students can
double major or design their own individual major.

Ross School of Business
• The Ross School of Business (University of Michigan) is consistently ranked as one of the top
business schools in the world. Their education programs deliver a wide range of curriculum
along with advanced elective courses, and specializes in general management.
Just like the University of Michigan, Ross has a commitment to research and advancement in all
fields. Excellent research facilities are available to all students.
• Programs:
• Undergraduate Program ,MBA Program , MBA Program for Executives, Doctoral Programs
• MBA Program:
• The first year of the MBA Program covers the core curriculum which covers the ten elemental
business functions. When the first year concludes, students complete a seven-week project
which enables them to apply the things they have learned in a real-life business situation.
Because Ross does not require those in the MBA Program to choose a major, student may select
from over 100 electives across 12 departments for their second year of study.
Suggestions for General Management Program at NBS

• A selection of 6-1 from a list of
elective majors will make it a
general management degree.
• During start of semester, university
will offer students the list of
