 INTRODUCTION

*In India about 1.24 million people die each year due to
road accidents

*many of the victims in the road accidents can be

saved if they are hospitalized in time

 GPS MODULE
*GPS stands for global positioning system also
called as NavStar.

*GPS reciever gets a signal from each GPS

satellite and it can determine position in three
dimensions-latitude ,longitude,altitude.

*To determine the location of GPS satellites

two types of data is required
1. Psuedo random code(ephemeris)
2. Almanac data
 GSM MODULE
* GSM is a mobile communication modem;it stands
for global system for mobile communication

*Features of GSM
1.To make phone calls more secure
2.Fixed dailing number(FDN)
3.Short message service (SMS)

*Arduino is an open source platform used for
building electronic projects

*The arduino hardware and sotware are

designed to make an interaction between
various modules

*It initiates GPS and GSM modules and can

interact with Led ,motors speakers and even
smart phones
 VIBRATION SENSOR
*A vibration sensor is device that detects the
vibrations in a material when it is attached to
that particular system

*When accident occurs ,vibration sensor

detects the vibrations based on the
vibrations GSM module sends messages to
the authorized users.

vehicle around the globe because of the GPS
module inserted in the automobile

*We can integrate another modules into

the arduino and monitor various
conditions of the auto mobile
 Applications

* Automtives and transport vehicles

*security remote monitoring ,transportation

*The system also can be interfaced with vehicle air bag

system.
 Conclusion

“Time is very important factor in a persons

life and its more valuable in critical
conditions. Accident detection helps in saving
time and indeed save lives of many people
around the globe.”
