What did you enjoy most about your practicum?

One of the most fun things I


enjoyed doing was staying
with the kids in the restaurant
because at this point the
teacher could get close to the
students by talking

The most challenging thing that I


had at the beginning was to get
the attention of all the kids at the
same time and follow the class
path to achieve the class goals

the school?

I showed my commitment as a
teacher in school by respecting the
class time and arriving in time.
I attend each day I did my best to
show the MST that I care to the
students and I am excited to be
teaching them everyday and spend
the whole time with them.

school?

I collaborate with my MST by helping


her with the activity while its the
activity time, and I helped her doing
the transition between the classes
and the breakfast time also when it
is the Play yard time.

Talk about the process of planning for lessons. How did your MST go
about this? How did you plan for your first lesson? What did you learn
about planning during the practicum?

My MST wasn’t having much time


to set with me and discuss about
my first lesson, she was busy, and I
tried to ask her about what’s our
unit about, so I know what I must
teach. She answered me teach
them about insects and she did
mention that she want me to do a
video that includes multiplicity of
insects.

I learned about how to provide videos ,


pictures, games that help me to teach the
students

What challenges did you face when preparing your lesson plans?

The challenges that I face it when I


prepare for the lesson plan is the
information will transfer easy to the
students.
Also do I have to provide a video or
making an activities for help them to
understand the lesson.

Speaking: By repeating the word or the


sentence and write it down many times

listening: By knowing the letters for


the word and how to pronounce it

activities. What strategies worked you?

I did the transitions by using the


groups flash card and it was very
helpful because the students will only
search for their pictures and then go
strait to the corner, I asked them to.

attempting to manage negative behaviour in the classroom.

Negative: their was a student who


don’t listen to the teacher while
she's teaching I talked to him and
he didn’t listen to me he showed
me his back and walk.
Positive: I took him in front of the
class and asked them what do you
all think about your friend and they
gave me a negative answers about
him. He felt like why I don’t try to
be like my friends.

My strengths are that I can handle the


kids and control all the students as well
I can manage the whole class alone.

What I must develop is the way I teach I


think I should bring materials I should
focus on how I can Deliver information
to children in new ways such as the
attention of real tools, visual things.

I think that in this chapter I learned

Except that I really enjoyed being
teaching in al Garayen kindergarten
even if the MST was hard to satisfy
but all I care about is the students.
