Types of pain

activity in the nerve tissue caused by
damage to tissue or tissue that is potentially
damaging. The most common examples
include pain after surgery, arthritis pain, lower
back pain, or sports injuries.
2. Somatic or blazing pain is felt when there is
damage to the body's soft musculoskeletal tissue. This
type of pain is often only in one place and is
described as an uncomfortable feeling. The pain
occurs because of an increase in activity in the
shoulders, waist and hands but can also occur at the
lower waist.
3. Neuropathic pain is caused by injury or the
somatosensory nervous system that is not functioning
properly. This pain is caused by damage or a disease
that affects any part of the nervous system, and often
no visible physical evidence is found. This is often
described as something that is burning, feeling
pierced, shot or a sharp pain. This type of pain tends
to occur in a matter of days or weeks from physical
injuries with frequency and uncertain intensity.
Sometimes the source of clear pain is unknown and
can occur spontaneously.
