 KEJARA
 Demerit Points System or Sistem Merit Kesalahan Jalan
Raya (KEJARA) is a road offenders demerit point system.
 Main purpose 1) to reduce road accidents 2) To take action
against traffic offenders.
 Involves2 categories of drivers only.
 CDL or Competent Driver License holders
 The P or Probationary drivers.
 Drivers penalized under this system issued by the Police &
JPJ and fined imposed by the court authorities.
 KEJARA
 The Demerit System was evolved to
 Minimise road accidents.
 Increase the awareness of drivers concerning road safety.
 To ensure that all drivers follow road regulations and rules.
 Create drivers who are discipline, responsible and considerate.
 To take action against drivers that commit traffic offences.

 KESARA
 Kemajuan Perusahaan Perkhidmatan Pengangkutan, hampir
sama dengan KEJARA tetapi sistem ini digunakan ke atas
pengusaha kenderaan pengangkutan perdagangan.
Basically, the System KEJARA is intended to:

 Decrease the rate of road accidents


 Increase the awareness of drivers regarding road safety
 To ensure that drivers adhere to rules and regulations of
driving
 The intention of creating drivers who are well disciplined,
courteous and responsible
 And finally, obviously to take stern action against drivers
who have committed traffic offence.
 Sistem KEJARA ialah sistem Keselamatan Jalanraya yang
ditujukan khas kepada pemandu kenderaan yang memiliki
lesen memandu CDL dan Lesen Memandu Percubaan.
Pemberian Mata Demerit kepada pemandu yang telah
disabitkan kesalahan sama ada melalui bayaran kompaun
(Polis atau JPJ) atau denda (mahkamah) bagi kesalahan
berjadual.
 Manakala sistem KESARA ialah Kemajuan Perusahaan
Perkhidmatan Pengangkutan, hampir sama dengan
KEJARA tetapi sistem ini digunakan ke atas pengusaha
kenderaan pengangkutan perdagangan.
 Tujuan: untuk mencegah, menghapus, mengawal
pencemaran serta membaiki alam sekeliling & perkara2
yang berkaitan dengannya.

 What is Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)?
 EIA is a study to identify, predict, evaluate &
communicate information about the impacts on the
environment of a proposed project and to detail out the
mitigating measures prior to project approval and
implementation.
 Why do we need EIA?
 Planning mechanism for preventing environmental
problems due to an action.
 Ensures that the potential problems are foreseen and
addressed at an early stage in the project planning &
design.

 Construction of airports (having an airstrip of 2,500 metres
or longer).
 Airstrip development in state and national parks.
 INFRASTRUCTURE
 Construction of expressways
 Construction of national highways
 Construction of new townships
 QUARRIES
 Proposed quarrying of aggregate, limestone, silica,
quartzite, sand-stone, marble and decorative building stone
within 3 kilometres of any existing residential, commercial
or industrial areas, or any area for which a license, permit
or approval has been granted for residential, commercial or
industrial development.
 RAILWAYS
 Construction of new routes.
 Construction of branch lines.

 TRANSPORTION
 Construction of Mass Transport Projects.
