COMPANY BACKGROUND

• The Morrison company was founded in 2003 by Jason Robbins, a serial


entrepreneur.
• The company was founded keeping in mind the emerging supply chain
management trends such as RFID technology to track pallets and goods cases.
• Robbins assemble highly experienced engineers and after extensive market
research, developed initial line of products
• He decided to target Pharmaceutical firms as they were the 1st the implement
smart tags and US FDA was preparing guidelines for RFID pilot studies in drugs.
• The company further expanded its product line to retailers
• Sales had boomed over the past year and the production was increased to meet
monthly/quarterly shipping targets
• The 4th quarter performance of RFID products for retailers was lower than
expectation while that for Pharma customers had good financial returns.
