Doesn’t tell what’s good or bad but,
tells us that it is merely an expression
of personal opinion.
People have different opinions, but where morality
is concerned, there are no ‘facts,’ and no one is
‘right.’
People just feel differently, and that’s all there
is to it.
Advantages: Disadvantages:
 Non-confrontational
 Believing isn’t knowing
 Cannot be more wrong or more right
 Beliefs are based on individual
than the next person
feelings.
 Doesn’t argue “moral truths” or
 No “higher” court of views
“absolutes”
Many forms of subjectivism go a bit further
and teach that moral statements describe
how the speaker feels about a particular
ethical issue.

So if I say "Lying is wrong", all I'm doing

is telling you that I disapprove of telling lies.
Subjectivism generalize this idea moral statements are
just factual statements about the attitude normal human
beings hold on a particular issue.

And this may ultimately lead us to this conclusion about

moral truths: Moral judgements are dependent on the
feelings and attitudes of the persons who think about
such things. “Don’t be gay!”
