Definition

Past perfect continuous tense merupakan salah satu
jenis tense yang selalu digunakan untuk
menggambarkan suatu tindakan/kejadian yang sedang
dilakukan dimasa lampau dan bersamaan dengan
aktivitas lainnya.

“Past perfect continuous tense is one type of tense that

always used to describe an action/event that is being carried
out in the past and together with other activities”
 When to use ?

Digunakan untuk menjelaskan suatu kejadian yang
telah selesai dimasa lampau yang bersamaan dengan
kejadian lainnya.

“Used to explain an event that has been completed in the past

that coincides with other events”
 Characteristic

1. Terdapat kata bantu “had” diantara subjek dan kata
kerja.
2. kata kerja (verb) yang digunakan adalah verb 1 +
ing.
3. Menggunakan kata keterangan waktu berupa when
(ketika) atau after (setelah) atau before (sebelum)
 formula

