Reduce to provide fresh environment,tepid spong with tap water • Eletrolyte balance,adequate fluid to prevent dehydration-heat loss-wast product remove • Oral hygine-dress cotton cloth—in diet give light food(milk,egg,cereals,soft cook food) • Prevent constipation—recreational and diversional therapy should give. ABDOMINAL DISTENTION • CAUSE: • Constipation with ineffective peristalsis • Complication of gastro enteritis such as paralytic ilheus • Intestinal obstruction obstruction/round worm obstruction. • Volvulus (dilation of large intestine) • Intestinal atresia • Imperforate anus • Assessment: • Clinical manifestation: • high fever—vomiting—refusal of food—visible peristalsis—crying with scream—increased respiration— abdominal pain… • Management: • Flatus tube to remove gas • Oil enema or rectal suppository • If obstruction is there then insert NG tube ans aspirate continuous drainage to reduc stomach pressure. • Dehydration treat.
