Good morning teacher and my fellow friends

Today I’m going to present a topic titled ‘Steps to take

to reduce risk of getting stroke’

Did you know that there are steps that you can take to
reduce the risk of getting a stroke?
 First, have your blood pressure checked regularly - at
least once a year if you are under 45 and once every
six months if you are older.
 Take your blood pressure medication exactly as your
doctor prescribes it.
 Reduce salt in your diet – eat fresh food rather than
processed foods that contain a lot of salt. Look for
low sodium or sodium-free foods.
 Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.
 Exercise regularly. Exercise at least 20 minutes three
times a week.
 Finally, quit smoking. Within five years of quitting,
your risk of getting a stroke will be the same as
someone who never smokes.
