• Shaping is the process of reinforcing


successively closer and closer approximations
to a desired terminal behavior.
• It was introduced by B.F Skinner.

• Positive reinforcement
• Negative reinforcement
• Punishment
• Extinction

• Timeout involve physically removing a child
from a situation that is dangerous or a
situation where the chid is exhibiting
behavior that is not acceptable.
• Time out is not punishment.it’s simply proving
the child an opportunity to regain control of
his or her behavior
