Programming Contests
• CodeChef SnackDown is an annual multi-round
global programming tournament conducted
by CodeChef.
• It aims to pit the best programming minds from
across the globe against each other for the ultimate
title of “SnackDown Champions”.
• Top 25 Indian teams + an Indian school team were
called for the onsite finals and the rest of the global
participants were made to compete online.
• In 2016, the 3rd edition of SnackDown and this time
it was launched in a truly global avatar.
• For the first time, global teams are invited to the
onsite finals, and 25 best global teams will compete
with 25 best Indian teams at the onsite finale.
• Along with this there are two dedicated slots one
each for an Indian school team and all girls team,
which makes it 52 teams (in total), perhaps this
makes CodeChef SnackDown one of the largest
onsite programming contest at such a global scale.
• On top of this, there are pile of cash prizes worth
$22.5K to be won and a wide assortment of cool
merchandise.
