The Population of rats in a forest grows exponentially with time. A zoologist predicted
that the population P of the rats in the forest is given by P= 30𝑒 0.16𝑡 after 𝑡 months

A. Estimate the population of rats in the forest 3 months later

B. What will be the increase in the population of rats in the forest from end of the fift
month to the end of the sixth month?
Give you’re answer correct to the nearest integers

SOLUTION: a. P=30(3)0.16𝑡
=14.4
b. P=30(3)0.16𝑡(6)
=86.4

The demand equation for a consumer product is q=80-2𝑝 . Solve for P and express your
answer in terms of common logarithm. Evaluate P to two decimal Places when q=60:

SOLUTION:
