Ways to Say NO!

Saying NO to vaping
BE DIRECT!

With a FIRM voice and confident attitude, just say no.

 When you are confident, people are less likely to question


you, or second guess your answer.
 Redirecting the
conversation gets you
out of smoking and
turns the focus to
something else,
CHANGE THE SUBJECT instead of the fact
that you said no.

When someone askes you to smoke, say


“No, lets go to the gym” or “No, lets go
swimming instead”
When someone asks you to smoke,
come back with a smart reply, make
a joke out of it or them.
 By thinking up a line or two ahead
of time you’ll be ready with a good
BE A WISE GUY one-liner!
You have the right to
remove your self from
uncomfortable
situations without

WALK AWAY saying anything.

 This might be useful


for those people
who don’t want to
take no for an
answer.
 Using an excuse to
get you away from
the situation can be
an indirect way to say
no, which can avoid
conflict.
USE AN EXCUSE
Say, “I’m already late, I have to go.”
AVOID IT ALL TOGETHER

If you know your friends are going to smoke and try to


pressure you into it, avoid hanging out with them.
People who don’t respect your right to say no aren’t
your true friends.

 By not placing your self in these situations, you can be


free to make your own choices.
