WHAT IS APPLIED
MOTOR CONTROL?

“The APPLICATION of the process of

initiating, directing, and grading purposeful
voluntary movement.”
The EP-hypothesis (Feldman 1996-
1986) is to our knowledge the only
theory in the field of motor that
specifies physiological variables that
are used by the central nervous
system as control variables.
MOTOR CONTROL EXERCISE
Thoracic Stabilization
If this instability in thoracic
spine is present, it manifest
as a spondylolisthesis are
the forward translation of
the cephalad vertebra the
caudal one.
LUMBAR

Lumbar-refers to the lower back,

where the spine curves inward
toward the abdomen. It starts
about five or six inches below the
shoulder blades, and connects
with the thoracic spine at the top
and extends downward to the
sacral spine.
In general, the thoracic
cavity or Chest cavity is
the chamber of the body
of vertebrates that is
protected by the
thoracic wall (ribcage
and associated skin,
muscle and fascia).
As the thoracic spine is inherently more stable in anterior to
posterior direction than the cervical or lumbar this disease is
uncommon.
Upper limb function allows for complex task accomplishment in
reaching, prehension, and manipulation. The upper limb can be
examined as a linkage system. The main effector of the upper limb
is the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder act to place the hand space.

DISCRETE
MOTOR SKILL
Are the kind of skills and actions that have an observable START and
FINISH.
SERIAL MOTOR SKILL
Are basically a group of discrete motor skills that link together
to be performed in a sequence to achieve a goal.
CONTINUOUS MOTOR SKILL
A skills that has no obvious beginning or end.
These skills could be stopped at any moment
during the performance of the skill.
