Frequency adverbs

When we talk about daily routines, habits or
permanent states, we usually want to say how
frequently we do these actions; to indicate that, we
can use adverbs of frequency.

Cuando hablamos de rutinas diarias, hábitos o estados permanentes,


generalmente queremos decir con qué frecuencia hacemos estas
acciones; Para indicar eso, podemos usar adverbios de frecuencia.
Frequency adverbs are:

0% 25% 50% 75% 100%


Never

Often

Sometimes

Always
Usually
The adverbs of frequency go after the verb to be.

o I am usually get up at 6.00.


o you are sometimes cook in the home.
o he is always runs in the morning.
o they are never hungry in the class.
o She is always happy.
The adverbs of frequency go before the main verb.

o She always comes to class late.


o He usually visits me.
o I sometimes walk in the park.
o He often goes to the swimming pool.
o They never eat in a restaurant.
Always, usually and often, we can use negative and affirmative
sentences, but the other adverbs are only for affirmative sentences.

o I don't usually drink beer.


o She doesn't often write to me.
Sometimes and usually it can be at the beginning or end of
sentences, but never and always can not.

o Sometimes we eat pizza for dinner


o Lisa goes to the cinema usually.
o He speaks with his parents sometimes.
