• It is the very aspect of life.
• It uses ideas and images, persuasion and information,
strategy and tactics to deliver your message.
FORMS OF PUBLIC
COMMUNICATION
IMPROMPTU
• This is a speech that has no advanced planning or practice. No
research occurred.
• It pertains on your ability to speak in an instant.
• You justify your answer by thinking without looking to anything that
can prove more your explanation.
• It is done without being planned or rehearsed.
EXAMPLES OF IMPROMPTU
• Doing an essay.
• Recitations.
• Asking. (ex. What is the English of “mahal kita”?
IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU
NEED TO:
• Think for a second about what you are going to say.
• Keep your points brief and direct to the point.
• Take a few seconds between thoughts to compose yourself.
EXTEMPORANEOUS
• You use notes to deliver your speech.
• The theme is already provided and you can make researches
about it already.
• You also have guidelines or the flow of it and use your own words
but it is depended on your researches.
• You have the time to prepare.
IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL,
YOU NEED TO:
• Do research about the topic.
• Practice to ensure timing, rhythm and flow to gain self-confidence.
MANUSCRIPT
• It means reading everything from your source of information.
• You will not miss any single word or some important points.
• It can be boring.
IN ORDER TO SUCCEED, YOU NEED
TO:
• Highlight the important key word and phrases that best describes your topic.
• Practice your speech like the tone and diction.
• Glance at the highlighted words to remember which idea will come next.
• Familiarize the sequence of your main points.
• Maintain your conversational tone.
• Make eye contacts.
MEMORIZED
• It is seldom used.
• It is not highly recommended.
• It means simply remembering every exact words.
