Hand Spa Treatment

Unit of Competency in Beauty Care NC II

Hand Spa

 Hand spa helps remove dead cells and

callous. Callous appear on hands because
of the constant friction of the skin to the
materials they use. Hand spa is a
treatment performed by professionally
trained staff. This treatment is done to
replenish, restore and rejuvenate naturally
tired hands.
Benefits gain:
 The paraffin wax used in spa treatments acts as an
emollient, which helps trap moisture in the skin. Once the
paraffin has been rubbed or peeled away, rough hands and
dry cuticles are left soft and moisturized. Salons often use
the wax spa as a soothing pretreatment to a manicure.
 The heat from a wax spa also helps temporarily soothe
aching joints and increase circulation, which gives hands a
more youthful appearance. The spa's heat has a relaxing
effect, helping calm and relieve stress in the same way a
warm bath does. Some paraffin spas include scented oils,
such as lavender and tea tree, for the additional benefit of
aromatherapy.
How to lightened your hands?

 Bleaching is an effective way to reduce the appearance of

blemishes and dark patches and brighten your skin.
 If your skin is darker due to sun exposure, sloughing away
these cells will help to lighten your skin. Likewise, if
these cells are darker due to self-tanning lotions, your
skin will become lighter if you exfoliate regularly.
Apply bleaching cream to your hands and
feet. Bleaching cream gradually lightens your skin
