    WHAT IS IT?
    • It is a Religious Congregation, founded on October 3, 1869 by Mother
    Eduviges Portalet in the city of Toulouse (France), illuminated by the spirit of
    Saint Dominic and joins the Order of Preachers on December 8, 1884
    IN CUSCO
    • The congregation is born from a very profound spiritual experience of our
    mother Eduviges Portalet, who, attending to blind children in need of a
    home and education.
    • His call extended to the diversity of people who live in injustice, loneliness
    and lack of love are plunged into darkness, so the Holy Spirit would create
    educational works.
    COLEGIO PARROQUIAL DE MUJERES

    • The Parish School of Women "San
    Martin de Porres", in its beginnings
    was created as a First Class
    Parochial Fiscalized Mixed School,
    being its first director Fray Juan
    Martín. After the increase of grades
    and sections the school acquired
    the denomination of Free
    Educational Parish Center.
