Short Conversation
WHAT WERE YOU DOING LAST NIGHT?
Dewi : I called you last night, but there was no answer.
Dita : I was at home
Dewi : Were you sleeping?
Dita :No, I was watching Teve when you called me.
Dewi : Why didn’t you pick up the phone?
Dita : The twkwphone was in the kitchen. And my mother was there.
Dewi : Why didn’t she pick up the telephone, either?
Dita : Perhaps she was in the bathroom
Dewi : How about your brother? Was hw wathcing television, too?
Dita : No, he was studying in his room.
Dewi : An hour later, I came to your house but you were not at home.
Dita : I was going with anton when you came to my house.
Dewi : Your mother told me. I called you but your hand phone was not
active. Why?
Dita : We were wathcing a movie film and we didn’t want you to distrub
us.
Dewi : Oh, I see.
