The Backdrop
THE SCENARIO SO FAR….
 Ms. Disha has completed her MBA and is a few
steps away from getting herself a great job.

 She lives near Kolkata Airport, and has an


interview call at Stephen House, Dalhousie,
which is 15 kms away.

She needs to report at 10 AM for the interview,


however, the challenge is that she cannot leave
her residence before 8 AM due to some social
constraints.

 She has a limited budget and there is no direct


bus connection to cover the distance.
GOAL
To get a ‘PLUM’ offer in a desirable
company.
To settle down professionally,
socially and personally.
To live a happy and contended life.
Objectives
a) To attend the interview on time (before
10 AM).
b) To reach the location in spic and span
condition.
c) To manage her travel expenses (to and
fro).
d) To have enough time on her hands, to be
mentally ready before the interview.

 She will start at 8 A.M.
 Reach the auto stand by 8.10 A.M.
 She hops into an auto which would take about 15 minutes to
reach Dum Dum Metro station.
 Purchases ticket for Central Metro station.
 Board the train at 8.32 AM, which will get her to Central Metro
Station by 8.45 AM.
 She will then take a cab towards Stephen House which will take
about 10 minutes.
 To cut the long story short, though in this opinion there is a
slightly higher expenditure compared to other alternatives Ms.
Disha will be fully prepared (both physically and mentally) and
would reach the destination one hour before, at about 9 am.
