ABOUT GAS ABOUT STEM

 The Accounting, Business and Management
(ABM) strand provides students with the skills and
knowledge they need to work in the corporate world. This
senior high school strand is for students who want to
become business leaders and entrepreneurs.
If running a business, talking to clients, and coming up
with strategies to earn money sound like your ideal
career, then ABM is the right strand for you.
We’ve got you covered on everything you need to know
before, during, and after you study ABM—including
FAQs, senior high school options, and recommended
college courses.
 HUMSS stands for Humanities and Social
Sciences. It is one of the strands offered to
Senior High students. This strand is for learners
who aim to take up journalism, communication
arts, liberal arts, education, and other social
science-related courses in college.
 GAS or General Academic Strand offers subjects
from the three other SHS Academic strands: Humanities
and Social Sciences (HUMSS) Strand, Science,
Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
Strand, and Accountancy, Business and Management
(ABM) Strand. Students taking up GAS get to experience
what each specialized strand has to offer so this is best
suited for students who are still undecided on which
strand to take.
 STEM is an educational program developed to
prepare primary and secondary students for college
and graduate study in the fields of science,
technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
In addition to subject-specific learning, STEM aims
to foster inquiring minds, logical reasoning, and
collaboration skills.
