THE BIBLE IS NOT WRONG IN ANY SUBJECT.
• A. JESUS CERTIFIED OLD TESTAMENT AS
ACCURATE.
• By citing the miracle stories in the O.T. Jesus
certified them as true, accurate, inerrant and
thus infallible. A few example:

The Bible and Medical Science
• The Bible and the Laws of hygiene
• Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis as the founder of the laws of hygiene
and the bible led him to the discoveries.
• 30% death rate of woman who gave birth.
• He noted that doctors would examine the patient who died
then without washing their hands go to the next ward and
examine expectant mothers.
• Dr. Ignaz insisted the doctors to wash their hands before
each examination.
• The dearth rate immediately dropped to 2%.
• The passage that led Dr. Ignaz
• Lev. 15:13 “and when he that has an issue is
cleansed of his issue, then he shall number to
himself seven days for his cleansing, and
bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be
clean.”
• The Bible and the Correlation of mind and
body.
• Medical science has come to understand that
there is a strong relationship between a
person’s mental and physical health.
• The Bible revealed this to us around 950 B.C.
• “ a Sound Heart is the life of the flesh. But
envy is the rottenness of the bones.”
prov.14:30

spoiled by bacteria.” Richard Gunther
• The Bible and Fat intake
• The American Association says: “ the major
kinds of fats in the foods we eat are Saturated
fats, and trans fat, and dietary cholesterol

• Genesis 17:12 “ and he that is eight days old
shall be circumcised among you, every man
child in your generations, he that is born in
the house, or bought with money of any
stranger, which is not thy seed.”
• Medical science has now discovered that this
is when the human body’s immune system is
at it’s peak.
The Bible and the Law of Quarantine

• 17th century The Modern Law of Quarantine
• Arturo Castiglione wrote about the overwhelming
importance of this biblical medical law: Lev. 13 may be
regarded as the first model of sanitary legislation.( a
History of Medicine.)
Science and Genesis
• Scientist admit Genesis is “ Close to the Truth”
• Time Magazine (December 1976)
• “most cosmologist agree that the Genesis account of
creation, in imagining an initial void, may be uncannily
closer to the truth.”
• U.S. News and World Report, March 31, 1997 “New
scientific revelations about supernovas, black holes,
quarks, and the big bang even suggest to some
scientists that there is a ‘ grand design’ to the universe
• The Bible speaks of Specific Design
• From Reader’s Digest , September 1986 by John
Wheeler ( Princeton University Prof. of Physics)
• “ slight variations in physical laws such as gravity
or electromagnetism would make life impossible..
The necessity to produce life lies at the center of
the universe’s whole machinery and design.”
• Stephen Hawking an Evolutionist “ the
universe and the law of physics seem to have
been specifically designed for us.,,,”
• The Bible Speaks of One Common Ancestor
• U.S. news and Worlds Report Dec. 14, 1995
• 99% of all scientist agree that all human are
alike because they descend from common
ancestor, traced back to one male ancestor
ther dubbed “y” chromosome adam.”
• Genesis and the Universe
• Science expresses the universe in five terms:
• Time,
• Space
• Matter,
• Power
• Motion
• Genesis 1:1-2 perfectly revealed such truths in Hebrew
1450 B.C.
Genesis 1:1-2
• “ In the beginning (time) God created (power)
the heaven (space) and the earth (matter) and
the Spirit of God moved (motion) upon the
face of the waters.”
• That God controls all the aspects of the
universe!!
• Glory to GOD
Authority
• A. Proceeds from the Author, the Holy Spirit
• 1. Author gives authority to what is written
• 2. “inspiration”- inbreathed by God (the Holy
Spirit)
• “all scripture is inspired by God and profitable for
teaching for reproof, for correction, for training in
righteousness.” 2 Tim.3:16
• All Scripture ( written word) is inspired
• All Scripture is profitable
• 3. The Author is the interpreter, the final
authority
• 2 pet 1:20-21 “but know this first all that no
prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own
interpretation, for no prophecy ws ever made
by an act of human will, but men moved by
the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
Psalm 12:6
• The words of the LORD are pure words; as silver
tried in furnace on the earth refined seven times.
 Clay furnace = human element
 Silver represent the divine message which comes
through the human element
 The purifying fire is the Holy Spirit
 7 is the number of perfection and rest
Jesus and the Old Testament
• A. John 10:34-36 Jesus answered them, “ Has it not
been written in your Law, “ I said you are gods? If he
called them gods, to whom the word of God came(
and the Scripture cannot be broken) do you say of
Him, whom the Gather sanctified and sent into the
world, you are blaspheming because I said I am the
Son of God?
• The Scripture cannot be broken
• The only unshakable thing is the Word of God.
How Jesus used Scripture
• A. Matthew 4:3-10
• 3 and the tempter came and said to him, “ if you
are the Son of God, command that these stones

shall pass from the Law until all is
accomplished.
Mat. 22: 31-32
• “ But regarding the resurrection of the Dead,
have you not read what was spoken to you by
God: “I am the God of Abraham, and the God
of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” He is not the
God of the dead but of the living.”
• God’s Word is eternal
How Jesus fulfilled scripture
• A. 18 times: “ that the scripture might be
fulfilled.”
• B. Jesus whole life was controlled by Scripture
• Birth , Life, Death, Resurrection.
• Birth-
• Micah 5:2 “ as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
seemingly insignificant among the clans of
Judah- from you a king will emerge who will
rule over Israel on my behalf, one whose
origin in the distant past.
• LIfe- Ministry Work
• Isa 61: 1-3
• “the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
because the Lord has chosen me. He has
commissioned me to encourage the poor, to help
the broken hearted, to decree the release of
captives, and the freeing of prisoners, to
announce the year when the LORD will show his
favour, the day when our God will seek
vengeance, to console all who mourn
• V3 to strengthen those who mourn in Zion, by
giving them a turban, instead of ashes, oil
symbolizing joy instead of mourning, a
garment symbolizing praise, instead of
discouragement. They will be called cloak of
righteousness, tree planted by the Lord to
reveal his splendour.
• Death/Passion-
• Isa. 53:3-10
• v3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of
sorrows and acquainted with grief: and we hid as
it were our faces from; he was despised and we
esteemed him not.
• v4 Surely he has borne our grief and carried our
sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten
of God, and afflicted.
• v5 But he was wounded for our transgression
he was bruised for our iniquities: the
chastisement of our peace was upon him, and
with his stripes we are healed.
• v6 all we like sheep have gone astray; we have
turned every one to his own way; and the Lord
has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
• v7 He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet
he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a
lamb to the slaughter , and as a sheep before
her shearers is dumb so he opened his mouth.
• v8 He was taken from prison and from
judgment: and who shall declare his
generation? For he was cut off out of the land
of the living: for the the transgression of my
people was he stricken.
• v9 and he made his grave with wicked , and
the rich in his death; because he had done no
violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

has put him to grief: when you shall make soul
an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he
shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the
LORD shall prosper in his hand

• Matt. 17:22-23 Jesus said to them “ The Son of
Man is about to be delivered into the hands of
men, and they will kill him, and he will be
raised on the third day”
Authority Behind the New Testament:
Holy Spirit
• A. John 14: 25-26
• “These things I have spoken to you while abiding
with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom
the Father will send in My name, He will teach
you all things, and bring to your remembrance all
that I said to you.”
• Holy Spirit unfolds all truth: past, present and
future
8 Effects of God’s Word
A. Produces faith (Romans 10:17)
So faith comes from hearing the word of
Christ
B. Seed of the new birth
i. James 1:18
In the exercise of His will he brought us
forth by the word of truth, so that we would
be a kind of first fruits among His creatures
ii. Incorruptible seed produces life (1 Peter 1:22-23)

Since you have in obedience to the truth purified

your souls for a sincere love of brethren,
fervently love one another from the heart, for
you have been born again not of seed which is
perishable but imperishable, that is, through the
living and enduring word of God
C. C. Spiritual Nourishment
i. Milk (1 Peter 2:2)
Like new born babies born for the pure milk of
the word, so that by it to you may grow in respect
to salvation,
ii. Bread (Matthew 4:4)
But he answered and said, “It is written, “MAN
SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY
WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF
GOD”
iii. Solid Food (Hebrews 5:12-14)
For though by this time you ought to be teachers,
you have need again for someone to teach you the
elementary principles of the oracles of God, and
you have come to need milk and not solid food.
For everyone who partakes only of milk is not
accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is
an infant, but solid food is for the mature, who is
because of practice have their series trained to
discern good and evil.
• D. Mental Illumination
• Psa. 119:130 The unfolding of your words
gives light, it gives understanding to the
simple.
• Wisdom comes through the Word of God
• E. Physical Healing
• i. psa. 107: 17-20 Fools, because of their
iniquities, were afflicted, their soul abhorred all
kinds of food, and they draw near to the gates
of death. Then they cried out to the LORD in
their trouble; He saved them out their
distresses. He sent His word and healed them,
and delivered the from their destruction.
• God’s Word: Saves, heals, Delivers.
• ii Prov. 4: 20-22
• My son give attention to my words; incline
your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart
from your sight; Keep them in the midst of
your heart, for they are life to those who find
them and health to all their body.
• F. Victory over sin
• i. Psa. 119: 9,11
• How can a young man keep his way pure? By
keeping to your word, your word I have
treasured in my heart, that I may not sin
against you.
• G. Cleansing and holiness ( Eph. 5:25-27)
• Husbands , love your wives, just as Christ also
loved might sanctify her, having cleansed her by
the washing of water with the Word, that he
might present himself the church in all her glory
having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing but
that she would be holy. the church and gave
himself up for her, so that He
• H. Spiritual Mirror ( James 1:23-25)
• For if anyone is a hearer of the word and a doer, he is
like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror: for
once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has
immediately forgotten what kind of person he was but
one who look intently at the perfect law, the law of
liberty, and abide by it, not having become a forgetful
hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in
what he does.
The Power of the Word
• Power belongeth unto God." -Psalm 62:11
• The great reservoir of the power that belongs
to God is His own Word- the Bible.
• . Men are longing to have power for fruit-
bearing in their own lives and yet forget that
Jesus has said:
• "The seed is the Word of God." (Luke 8:11)
• They are longing to have power to melt the
cold heart and break the stubborn will, and
yet forget that God has said:
• "Is not my Word like as a fire? ...and like a
hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?"
(Jer. 23:29)
• If we are to obtain fullness of power in life and
service, we must feed upon the Word of God.
There is no other food so strengthening
• 1. First of all, the Word of God has power to convict
of sin. In Acts 2:37 we read,
• "Now when they heard this, they were pricked in
their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the
apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?“
• If you will read Peter’s sermon, you will find it one of
the most biblical sermons ever preached.
• the word of God, carried home by the spirit of God,
that pricked them to their heart.
• 2. the Word of God has power to regenerate. In 1
Peter 1:23 we read,
• "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of
incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and
abideth forever."
• The heart closes around the Word by faith, and the
new life is the product.
• The new birth is simply the impartation of a new
nature, the impartation of God’s nature

• 2 Peter 1:4 (R.V.) and the context: "That
through these (exceeding great and precious p
romises) ye may become partakers of the
divine nature.“
• That is all there is to it. The word of God is the
seed out of which the divine nature springs up
in the human soul.
• 3.Word of God has power to build up. In Acts
20:32 we read,
• "I commend you to God, and to the Word of
His grace, which is able to build you up."

• 4.the Word of God has power to make wise.
Psalm 119:130
• "The entrance of Thy words giveth light; it
giveth understanding unto the simple.“
• There is more wisdom in the Bible than there is in all
the other literature of the ages. The one who studies
the Bible, if he does not study any other book, will
know more of real wisdom- wisdom that counts for
eternity as well as time
• 5. The Word of God has power to give
assurance of eternal life. In 1 John 5:13, R.V.,
we read,
• "These things have I written unto you, that ye may
know that ye have eternal life, even unto you that
believe in the name of the Son of God."
• 6.The Word of God has power to bring peace
into the heart. In Psalm 85:8
• "I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for
He will speak peace unto His people, and to
His saints."
• Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things
work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to H is
purpose
• 7.The Word of God has power to produce joy.
Jeremiah 15:16,
• "Thy Words were found, and I did eat them;
and Thy Word was unto me the joy and
rejoicing of mine heart."
• Jesus said in John 15:11,
• "These things have I spoken unto you, that
my joy might remain in you, and that your joy
might be full."
• 8.Patience, comfort, and hope also come
through the Word of God. Romans 15:4,
• "For whatsoever things were written a
foretime were written for our learning, that
we through patience and comfort of the
scriptures might have hope."
• 9. the Word of God has power to protect from
error
• 2 Tim 3:13-15
• "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and
worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue
thou in the things which tho u hast learned and hast
been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned
them; And that from a child thou hast known the
Holy Scriptures, which are able to m ake thee wise
unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."
