NURSES ON ESTABLISHING REGIONAL NURSE NETWORK Rationale:
Pursuant to the achievement of quality service
and accessible health facilities DOH – HFDB and RO VIII will establish a Regional Nurse Network that will help nurses develop their network by actively share resources, teach and learn from each other, and help foster and strengthen cooperation thru information exchange, to facilitate professional mobility. It is a highly interactive network bound by common desire to enhance the joy of profession, learn leadership and interpersonal skills at one`s career. This will try to connect experienced nurses at different organization in order to continue and strengthen collaboration and partnership. HFDB shall conduct a Capacity Enhancement on Regional Nurse Network. This activity will serve as a venue to develop a project that promotes a network of hospitals with purpose of harmonization of procedures and policies focused on quality nursing and to enhanced best practices. It also aims to enhance professional knowledge and skills in response to the changing patterns in clinical nursing practice and develop strategies in support to the delivery of safe and effective quality patient care. General Objective:

Communication Skills Building leadership capacity Collaboration and Partnership Getting to know you… more and better Me and My world , and VALUE PLUS Essentials of Excellence Give the best in you Self Managed Development Team Building Proper Team Principles OUTPUT: The participants shall be able to establish the National Technical Working Group for implementation of Strategic Plan, Formulate Nurse Network Action Plan develop programs, and share intellectual property among geographically contiguous hospitals and discuss current issues ideas and ways to enhance nursing practice thereby improving the health of wellbeing and their respective communities. Hospital-based Mini Networks: Designed to augment the regional network, individual hospital networks will give nurses a ready source of support and help encourage change organization-wide. The Renewal Nurse Network will help individual hospitals develop their own networks by providing training and tools to nurses who wish to establish their own networks. Mentoring Program: The Renewal Nurse Network is establishing a mentor program to assist new nurses in developing their professional and leadership skills. The mentor program will try to connect new nurses with experienced nurses at different organizations in order to continue to strengthen the network. Online Peer Support and Communication: Building from its Facebook page and Twitter site, RN² intends to extend its online presence with a dedicated website for its members. This new website will host forum discussions, Q&A pages, and skill development resources.
