Gamelan

 The gamelan is one of the most


important musical ensembles in
Indonesia
A gamelan consists of 40
instruments
 used in various occasions,
celebrations like:
1. puppetry
2. feasts
3. rituals
4. and other ceremonies
The arrangement of the
instruments is important

In the large gamelan, there


are nine basic types of
instruments and their
position on the stage follows
a set pattern
