Don’t you think too much Importance is given to cricket as

compared to other sports in India

INTRODUCTION :

 Sport includes all forms of competitive physical activity or games which,

through casual or organised participation, aim to use, maintain or improve
physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participans, and in
some cases, entertainment for spectators.

 For examples;

 Cricket. The popularity of cricket in India is unparalleled compared to

interest generated by a particular sport in any other country. ...

 Football. The most popular sport in the world, football remains an enigma
in India

 Kabaddi

 Badminton
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF SPORTS :

 Advantage of sports include improvement in both physical and mental

health, and taking part in sports reduces stress.

 Build character and social skills like teamwork cooperation and leadership.

 Ability to handle wining and losing while being a good sport.

 A strong heart , better sleep, new connections, increased confidence.

 Disadvantages:

• Increasing the risk of injury, adding a lot of pressure

• Time Commitment. Weather Problems, stress and sleep issues.

 Is cricket given more importance in India?

Yes the statement is true that cricket is given more importance than any other
game in India but that used to be in the past . But now games like kabaddi,
football , badminton are also given importance that's why leagues like ISL, Pro
kabaddi and PBL are being run in India.

Why cricket is most popular sport in India?

role in cricket's popularity. Indian has won the Cricket World Cup twice. They

Other sports losing their importance because of cricket worship. Cricket has
completely taken over other sports in India; even if there have been gold
medals in sports like archery and world rankings in badminton - other
sports are not as popular as cricket
