716667 – 6 Speed MT

Group II
• The new manual transmission 716.6 is a fully synchronized
twin- shaft transmission with six forward gears and one reverse
gear
• The 6th gear is designed as a fuel consumption and reducing overdrive
• Needle-bearing-supported main shifter shaft
• Multiple cone synchronization in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear
• Fully synchronized reverse gear
• Transfer of gearshift lever movement to the transmission through
shift rod and cable

Synchronizer
• High torque transfer and frequent shift work, with a simultaneous reduction in shift
force, require high-performance synchronization.
• The installed single-cone, two-cone and multiple-cone synchronizers meet these
demands and offer the following advantages with regard to shifting :
 Fast synchronization
 High ease of shifting
 Low shift forces
