WHAT IS RUBRICS?
Modern assessment tend to use rubrics to
describe student performance.

Rubric is a scoring method that lists the


criteria for a piece of work, or “what counts”

It also articulates gradations of quality for


each criterion from excellent to poor.

The criteria should be written in the column on
the left.

In the next four columns to the right of the


criteria, the degrees of quality should be
written, from excellent to poor.

And in the column on the right is for the


scoring.
