 Nowadays, it becomes more and more
popular to buy airline tickets through online
systems.
 Many travel site provide services which help
travelers find airline tickets for their travel
plans
 Generally Online Booking consists of
procedures like Reservation, Cancellation,
Availability of Seats, Timetable,etc.
 We will conduct our study in a team of five
members, each of which is responsible for
the project accomplishment.
 We will meet three times in a week for two
weeks, and will stay on to observe our work
for approximately 12 hours during the four
week
 Only few bookings could be made due to
manual operation.
 It takes enormous amount of time for
recording transactions.
 Requires a large amount of manual laborers.
 Customers should go to ticket offices to
reserve a ticket and cancel it.
In order to overcome the drawbacks the
manual system, it was decided to create a
system, which is
 Integrated
 Reliable
 Consistent
 Flexible
 Secure
 To create a distributed system that will be
used by customers.
 To ensure that ticket reservation is easy and
user friendly for customers.
 To satisfy customers need by reaching them
at their place.
 Reduce the work load of the ticket officers.
 Provide large number of ticket reservation
and cancelation service in a few time.
 The development process adopted by the
team is a waterfall model.(Sequential
manner)
 We then plan on exactly what has to be
achieved at the end of the project.
 We then proceed to the design phase where
we determine how the goals set for there
going to be met and how the deliverables are
going to be achieved.
 Online ticket reservation and cancelation
service
 Provide flight information for the passengers
 It reduces the scope of manual error and
conveniently maintains any modifications,
cancellations in the reservations.
 It not only provides flight details but also but
also creates a platform to book tickets,
cancels or modifies ticket timings or dates
and even informs about the number of
people on board
