The simple musucal forms are unitary,
binary and ternary. A song is in a unitary form if it has one part. The song “ Si Nanay, Si Tatay “ has a unitary form. If a song is in ternary form, it has three parts, but 0ne is repeated.In most cases, the first part is repeated: ABA. The phrase in the third part is the same or similar with the phrase in the first part. The song, “ Tinikling” has ternary form If the song is in binary form, it has two parts: A and B or simply AB.
The phrases in the two parts
