 Michael Jordan was born on February 17th, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York.
 Michael Jordan is a professional American basketball player, Olympic athlete,
businessperson, and actor.
 Michael Jordan’s father name is James and his mother name is Delores.
 Michael Jordan has 2 brother, Larry Jordan and James Jordan, Jr.
 Michael Jordan has 3 houses, in Florida, Chicago, and Charlotte.
Jordan’s College
 Michael Jordan enrolled at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill in 1981.
 When Michael Jordan was college, he
became an important member of the
school’s basketball team.
 Michael Jordan’s basketball team
name is UNC, UNC won the NCAA
Division I championships in 1982 with
Jordan scoring the final basket.
 Michael Jordan was also singled out as
the NCAA College Player of the Year in
1983 and 1984.
Jordan’s Basketball Career
 Michael Jordan began his professional
basketball career when he was drafted
by the Chicago Bulls in 1984.
 Michael Jordan was the second draft pick
behind Sam Bowie, who was drafted by
the Portland Trail Blazers.
 Michael Jordan soon proved himself on
the court, he helped his team make it to
the playoffs and scored an average of
28.2 points per game that season.
 Because of Michael Jordan’s effort, he
received the NBA Rookie of the Year
Award and was selected for the All-Star
Game.
Olympics
 During the summer of 1984, Michael Jordan
made his first appearance at the Olympic
Games as a member of the U.S. Olympic
basketball team.
 At that year (1984) Michael Jordan’s team
won the gold which were held in Los
Angeles.
 At 1992, Michael Jordan helped the
American team and bring home the Olympic
Games gold medal, held in Barcelona,
Spain.
Jordan’s Awards
 Michael Jordan received his first Most Valuable Player Award from the NBA in
1988, 1991, 1992, 1996, and 1998.
 In April 2009, Michael Jordan received on of basketball’s greatest honors.
 And in 2016, Michael Jordan was presented with a Presidential Medal of
Freedom honor by President Barack Obama.
