MUST WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES WHEN WORKING WITH:

EYE AND PERSONAL PROTECTION

• During labs and experiments, you must always wear a lab apron
• Students must tie back hair to keep out of the area of labs
• Secure loose clothing
FIRE AND HEAT

When working with fire and heat:

• Wear safety googles
• Wear lab apron
• Tie back hair
• Secure loose clothing
• Use a heat source respectfully and in a safe place
• Always be aware of electrical cords around the classroom
• Know where fire extinguisher is located
HANDLING CHEMICALS

When handling chemicals:

• Wear safety googles
• Wear lab apron
• Tie back hair
• Secure loose clothing
• Never taste chemicals
• Smell solutions by wafting your hand over the container. NEVER put
your nose up to a chemical
• Only use chemicals needed for the lab
DISPOSING AND CLEAN UP

• Follow rules and directions when cleaning up

• Wash hands with soap and water after labs and
experiments
• Clean up area you are working at and put all materials
back exactly how you found them
