Planning and Preparing a Lesson

In identify and select the aims, we should ask;


• What do my learners already know?
• What do they need to know?

Aims are
What we want learners to learn or be able to do
at the end of a lesson. It should not be
• Identifying and selecting aims are the first
steps in planning a lesson.
• Next, design or select the most appropriate
activities
• Put them in the best order
• Last, choose the most suitable teaching aids (
things we can use to support our teaching in
the classroom
Identifying the Different
Components of a Lesson Plan
A Lesson Plan is a set of notes that helps us to
think through what we are going to teach and
how we are going to teach it. It is about guide
for what and how the learning do.
The Main Components of a Lesson Plan:
* What the lesson for (aims)
* What the teacher and the learners will do
during the lesson
* How they will do it (procedures)
