MISSION STATEMENT:

It is proposed to build up a branded leather goods


business, market the products through retail, wholesale
and online; set up a design team for building a collection
which is international, innovative and commercial;
establishing a world class supplier base; innovate in
materials and designs to remain in forefront; give
complete customer satisfaction and build customer
loyalty.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
• Establish a leather goods business
• Launch a brand under which the products will be sold. The brand
will be registered in US and will be promoted as a US based brand.
• USP – high quality and international designs at Indian prices.
• Launch in India and Overseas markets
• Channels- online, wholesale, shop in shop, MBOs, retail
• Promotion – Online – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, association with
online retailers; Offline – trade magazines, trade shows,
• Product Design- tie up with design studios, vendors and free lancers
• Production- Tie up with best units specializing in high end leather

More specifically, the target customer for Amazig Leathers is mostly women,
although the newly launched line of products have some that can appeal more
to men, ages 21 to 35, college educated with an income between $35,000
and $75,000. These customers have either newly entered the professional
world or have started to get established there, and place an importance on
social enterprises and how goods they buy are produced.
Today, almost everyone owns an electronic communication device
such as mobile phones, tablets and laptops. Due to technological
advancements, people are virtually connected through social
media platforms. Social media plays a big part in today’s society,
social media platforms the likes of Tumblr and Youtube are popular
among the younger and tech-savvy people. Most of the time, people
get first hand news from the internet.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, RANGE BUILDING

In terms of factors, influencing the success of a brand, one of the


top factor is ‘the product’. In order to ensure the acceptance of our
collection, we will focus on building a ‘international product line’
and continue to innovate in designs and materials.

The ‘product development’ or line building will be done

1) Vendors who will be shortlisted for production


2) Design studios
3) Free lance designers
Material Development

We will tie up with tanneries for leather development. New leathers and
linings will be the critical factors in our range building.

Besides leather, we will tie up with textile dealers/companies for linings


and other materials like canvas, etc.

There are not many metal trims suppliers in India. Hence, we will develop
branded hardware from China. Non-critical products can be sourced from
India.
