Principles of Application of Media in class.

• There are several principles that need to be considered by teachers in choos


ing and use learning media, namely :

• (1) There is no one superior media for all purposes. One media o
nly suitable for certain learning purposes, but may not be suitable
for learning other.

• (2) Media is an integral part of the learning process. This means t


hat the media is not just teaching aids, but it is an inseparable par
t of the learning process. Determination of a the media must be c
ompatible with other components in the design instructional. Wit
hout teaching aids, learning may continue take place, but without l
earning media it will not happen.

• (3) Whatever media are to be used, the ultimate goal is to facilitat
e student learning. Ease of student learning must be used as a ref
erence the main selection and use of a media.
The Types Of Learning Media

• And Several Types and Learning Media Although there are various forms and t
ypes of learning media, there is no one medium that is right for all purposes.
Each media has advantages and disadvantages of each. Therefore, understandi
ng the advantages and disadvantages of each type of media can make it easie
r for us to determine the right media.

ments by Seels and Glasgow (1990:181-183) is divided into two broad categories,
namely traditional media options and advanced technology media options.
