Introduction:

Inflation:
Inflation is a quantitative measure of the rate at
which the average price level of a basket of
selected goods and services in an economy
increases over a period of time. Often expressed
as a percentage, inflation indicates a decrease in
the purchasing power of a nation’s currency.
 Unemployment:
Unemployment occurs when a person who is
actively searching for employment is unable to
find work. The most frequently cited measure of
unemployment is the unemployment rate. This is
the number of unemployed persons divided by
the number of people in the labour force

 Objectives Of my study :
1) To study the relationship between inflation and
unemployment.
2) To analyse the impact of inflation and
unemployment.
Research Methodology:

 Source of data collection : The data is

collected from various sources like internet, N-
list website, journals etc.
 Period of the study: Data is from last 10 years
i.e. from 2008 to 2017.
 Statistical techniques: Regression analysis and
Correlation.
 Statistical software : MS Excel and Gretl .
Hypothesis Development

 H0 =There is no impact of inflation and

unemployment. [Null Hypothesis]
 H1= There is an impact of inflation and
unemployment. [Alternative Hypothesis]
 Independent Variable (X) = Inflation
 Dependent Variable (Y) =Unemployment
