What is Personnel Services (PS)?
- Provisions for the payment of salaries, wages
and other compensation (e.g., merit, salary
increase, cost-of-living-allowances, honoraria
and commutable allowances) of permanent,
temporary, contractual, and casual employees
of the government.
Regional Payroll Services Unit
(RPSU)

-the RPSU has the responsibility of processing,


printing, and distributing salary checks of
teaching and non-teaching personnel in public
elementary and secondary schools.

C. Mid-Year Bonus

• How much?
 Equivalent to 1 month salary

• When can be availed?


 Not earlier than May 15

• Requirements:
 Personnel has rendered at least a total or an aggregate of four (4)
months of service from July 1 of the immediately preceding year to May
15 of the current year;
 Personnel remains to be in the government service as of May 15 of the
current year.
 Personnel has obtained at least a satisfactory performance rating in the
immediately preceding rating period, or the applicable performance
appraisal period.
D. Year-End Bonus & Cash Gift

• How much?
 YEB – Equivalent to 1 month salary
 Cash Gift – P5,000.00

• When can be availed?


 Not earlier than November 15

• Requirements:
 Personnel has rendered at least a total or an aggregate of four
(4) months of service from January 1 to October 31 of the
current year;
 Personnel remains to be in the government service as of
October 31 of the same year.

 The employees are still in the service as of November 30 of the
current year; and

 The employees have rendered at least a total or an aggregate of


four (4) months of at least satisfactory service as of November
30 of the current year, including leaves of absence with pay
E. Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI)

G. Performance-Based Bonus (PBB)
Ref.: DO 38, S.2018
• How much?
 Depending on the performance of the school where the
teacher/personnel is stationed.

• When can be availed?


 Depending on the release of fund.

• Requirements
 Have rendered at least nine (9) months of service
 Rendered a minimum of three (3) months but less than nine
(9) months of service and with the required performance
rating shall be eligible for the grant of PBB on a pro-rata
basis.
H. Step Increment

• How much?
 Depending on the salary schedule & length of service

• When can be availed?


 Upon three (3) years in government service &

• Requirements:
 Granted to qualified personnel for every three (3) years
of continuous satisfactory service in the present
position.
I. Loyalty/Longevity Pay
Ref.: CSC MC No. 6, s. 2002

• How much?
 P10,000.00 on the first ten (10) years of service and
P5,000.00 every five (5) years thereafter

• When can be availed?


 Upon rendering of ten (10) years service and depending
on the availability of funds

• Requirements:
 Number/Years of service
J. Proportional Vacation Pay

• refers to compensation of teaching


personnel during Christmas and summer
vacation computed in proportion to the
number of days they have served during
the school year.
K. Special Hardship Allowance (SHA)
Ref.: National Budget Circular No. 514

• refers to the allowance granted to qualified teachers


under any of the following situations: (1) being
assigned to a hardship post; (2) performing multi-
grade teaching; (3) carrying out mobile teaching
functions; or (4) performing functions of non-formal
education (now Alternative Learning System)
coordinators. The qualified teachers may either be
resident or transient having regular or temporary
appointment.
L. Cash Allowance

• How much?
 P3,500.00

• When can be availed?


 Every July

• Requirements:
 Teachers performing teaching functions
 For those hired after July, the release will
depend on the availability of funds
