WHAT IS GREEN ARCHITECTURE ?
Green Architecture, Or Green Design, Is An Approach To Building That
Minimizes Harmful Effects On Human Health And The Environment. The
"Green" Architect Or Designer Attempts To Safeguard Air, Water, And Earth
By Choosing Eco-friendly Building Materials And Construction Practices.

Features :
 Ventilation Systems Designed For Efficient Heating And Cooling
 Energy-efficient Lighting And Appliances
 Water-saving Plumbing Fixtures
 Landscaping With Native Vegetation And Planned To Maximize Passive
Solar Energy
 Minimal Harm To The Natural Habitat
 Alternative Renewable Energy Power Sources Such As Solar Power Or
Wind Power
 Non-synthetic, Non-toxic Materials Used Inside And Out
 Locally-obtained Woods And Stone, Eliminating Long-haul Transportation
 Responsibly-harvested Woods ETC.
INTRODUCTION
Acknowledged As The Preferred Residence Of Visiting Heads Of State And Global Business
Leaders–itc Maurya Epitomizes The Luxury Hotel Experience. The Hotel Has Started Its
Operation In The Year 1977. ITC Maurya Has 438 Rooms, 6 F & B Restaurants Outlets And 3
Banquet Spaces
NATURAL ENERGY USAGE FOR
LIGHTING
> They Use Ample Of Natural Light,
Which Comes In From All Four Directions,
As Shown In The Plan

> They Have Open Restaurants, Which Has

Minimal Usage Of Artificial Lights.
ENERGY MANAGEMENT
Compared to conventional heat transfer fluid like water, Nano fluids
have higher thermal conductivity.

Nano fluids are new class of advanced heat transfer fluids engineered
by dispersing nanoparticles, which have high surface area.

Nano fluid when used with water in the ratio of 50:50 enhances the
capacity of water to transfer heat. Thus making it more efficient in
terms of energy consumption

Water in the closed loop between heat pump and heat exchanger
get replaced with Nano fluid solution which resulted in better
IKW/Ton of heat pump

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
 THE HOTEL’S RAINWATER
HARVESTING CAPACITY, IS 30% OF
THE PEAK RAINFALL.

 THE BUILDING CONSCIOUSLY

PROMOTES CULTIVATION OF NATIVE
PLANTS.

 OVER 75% OF ROOF AREA IS

COVERED WITH SPECIAL PAINT
THAT HAS HIGH SOLAR
REFLECTIVE INDEX THEREBY
REDUCING THE COOLING
DEMAND.
SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS
• VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUND
PAINTS AND FSC (FOREST
STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL) CERTIFIED
WOOD IS USED FOR
REFURBISHMENTS AND RENOVATIONS

• MORE THAN 30% OF THE FOOD AND

BEVARGE USED IS HARVESTED AND
PROCESSED LOCALLY WITHIN 160
