 Panasonic Corporation, formerly known as Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.,

is a Japanese multinational electronics corporation.

 The largest Japanese electronics producer. In addition to electronics, non-

electronic products and services such as home renovation services .
KONOSUKE MATSUSHITA

 Kōnosuke Matsushita was a Japanese industrialist who founded Panasonic, on

March 7, 1918 with an electric plug idea and then ended up creating the
Panasonic brand everyone knows around the world.

 He was even involved in other important profitable business ventures, giving him
a fortune of over $3 billion. To many Japanese, he is known as "the god of
management"
SUCCESSFUL STORY

 Matsushita was an employer of Osaka Light, where he had come up with an idea
of creating light socket, something much better than what was available on the
market at the time.
 His boss wasn't interested so young Matsushita started making samples in his
basement. He later expanded with battery-powered bicycle lamps and other
electronic products.
 Matsushita Electric, as it was known until 2008 when the company officially
changed its name to Panasonic, is now worth $66 billion.
CONCLUSION

 Konosuke Matsushita managed to reach huge success in the business world mainly
because of the paternal management philosophy he used. As he started with only some
electric plugs, nobody really managed to predict the huge success that would have been
achieved. Matsushita always said that the company needs to create wealth for the entire
society and has to work to reduce poverty. The management tradition he created let to
the company surviving through tough times and having the entire staff work as a family.
