What Are Temporary Jobs ?

 A job where a person is expected to remain in


a position only for a certain period of time

 For example, domemestic maids, masons, electricians


What Are permanent Jobs ?

 A job on a regular, continuing basis as opposed


to temporary employment or employment on a contract
basis

 For example, Bank employee , Doctor, Dentist


Advantages and disadvantages of Temporary
Jobs

Advantages
 It may be exactly the job the job seeker wants, with a time limit for the
employment commitment

 It provides an income stream while the "real" job search continues

Disadvantages
 Many temps report feeling isolated and not well-respected by other employees

 Most temps are not paid top dollar for what they do, unless they have a skill
that is quite scarce

Disadvantages
 Can become set in a "rut" after a while
 Career can become stagnant after a while if the worker is not careful
 There may not be the same environment to be an entrepreneur
Temporary Jobs Vs. Permanent Jobs

 Temporary employees work for a specific length of time or until a specific


project is completed. Permanent employees have no specified end date for
employment and generally remain employed until they are fired or laid off or
choose to quit. As an employer, there are benefits and drawbacks to both types
of employees, so business needs and goals are to be considered before deciding
to hire one type or the other

 Developing an effective workforce requires the same energy in planning and


consideration as it does in creating a business plan or digital marketing plan.
The reality is that both types of employment have varying degrees of benefits
and challenges. As such, whether a temporary or permanent employees is
chosen, or a combination of both, defining of company needs is the first step in
successfully creating and managing an effective workforce
