WHAT IS DEPRESSION?
Depression (major depressive disorder) is a
common and serious medical illness that
negatively affects how you feel, the way you
think and how you act.

Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness.
Loss of interest in daily activities.
Appetite or weight changes.
Sleep changes.
Anger or irritability.
Loss of energy.
Self-loathing.
Reckless behavior.
Concentration problems.

WAYS TO OVERCOME
DEPRESSION
Reach out and stay connected.
Do things that make you feel good.
Meditation and exercise
Eat a healthy, depression-fighting diet.
Spend time with animals.
Challenge negative thinking.
Seek Professional help.
CONCLUSION
It needs to be understand that depression is
not a thing to be suppressed. It’s a mental
disorder but there is nothing to be ashamed
of it. Our society now needs to change its
mentality towards depression. Depression is
a long term sadness. A depressed person
needs your support because isolation is not
the cure of depression, it can only leads to
suicide at its worse.
