 An adverb indicates manner, time, place,
cause, or degree and answers questions such
as "how," "when," "where," "how much“ .

 Adverbs of manner tell us how something
happens. They are usually placed after the main
verb or after the object.Common adverbs of
manner are angrily, carefully, carelessly,
cautiously, clearly,happily, and thoughtfully.

.She spoke interestingly about her ideas.
.Joe ate hungrily.

 Adverbs of place tell us where something
happens.
They are usually placed after the main verb or

happened, but also for how long, and how

 Adverbs of certainty express how certain or
sure we feel about an action or event.
 Common adverbs of certainty:

 Adverbs of Frequency answer the question

"How often?" or "How frequently?“. They tell
us how often somebody does

,seldom,sometimes and usually.
