An electronic device for storing and


processing data, typically in binary form,
according to instructions given to it in a
variable program.

INPUT DIVICE
1. Any information or data that is sent to a computer
for processing is considered input.

2. The picture is an illustration of the difference


between input and output.
OUTPUT DIVICE
1. Any information that is processed by and sent
out from a computer or other electronic device is
considered output.
2. An example of output is anything viewed on
your computer monitor screen, such as the words
you type on your keyboard.
STOREAGE

1. Storage is a process through which digital


data is saved within a data storage device by
means of computing technology.

2. Storage is a mechanism that enables a


computer to retain data, either temporarily or
permanently.
CPU

1. CPU (pronounced as separate letters) is the


abbreviation for central processing unit.

2. The CPU is the brains of the computer where most


calculations take place.
