Verbs ending in –s, sh, ch, x, o add es

Pass: passes
Wash: Washes
Fix: fixes
Go: goes
Verbs ending in –y preceded by consonant,
change ‘y’ to ies

Fly: flies
Dry: dries
Cry: cries
