PEF(M)B as a trailblazer in the downstream sector of the petroleum


industry has achieved the following:
 PEF(M)B is first organization to successfully launch and implement an electronic
loading and delivery system for petroleum products.
 The e-loading system known as ‘Project Aquila’ was initiated to check leakages,
enthrone transparency and due process while transforming the Boards’
operational process for a more efficient and effective service delivery to all
stakeholders.
 It has automated data capture, enabled faster processing and payment of
claims with an on-line real time information management system.
 The system provides data for strategic business planning and decision
making, while ensuring prompt settlement of marketers’ claims.
 Also, it provides accurate confirmation of all loading and delivery of petroleum
products, to indicate the consumption patterns of cities for effective planning. It
eliminates payment of fictitious claims and diversion of petroleum products
within the country, thereby saving billions of Naira for the Government.

PEF(M)B as a trailblazer in the downstream sector of the


petroleum industry has achieved the following:
 Introduced the Electronic Payment (e-payment system), the first of its kind in
the public sector. This eliminated many of the inefficiencies in the payment
process. The e-payment system has now been adopted by all public agencies
after PEF(M) B was reviewed as a case study.
 Achieved unhindered and prompt payment of marketers’ claims using the
robust capabilities of Project Aquila moving from an average of 9 months to
between 2-4 weeks.
 Facilitate the availability of fuel supply in the country by prompt payment of
marketers claims in all parts of the country.
 Ensuring new investments in tank farms, retail outlets and trucks with
attendant release in employment generation due to prompt payment of claims.

PEF(M)B as a trailblazer in the downstream sector of the


petroleum industry has achieved the following:
 Achieved full cut-over from manual operations to complete automated
processing of marketers’ claims through Project Aquila roundly applauded by
stakeholders in the downstream sector of the petroleum industry.
 Saved about two million dollars ($2m) through the use of the expertise of
staff of Board in the development and roll-out of the Project Aquila Software.
 Achieved ninety percent (90%) coverage in terms of equipment and staffing
of all the Government and private depots in the implementation of the Project
Aquila.
 Implemented the forty-five percent (45%) increment in the transportation rate
as approved by Government, after due consultations with stakeholders
 Cleared Ninety-eight (98%) of all outstanding marketers’ claims under the
manual operations

petroleum industry has achieved the following:
 Implemented a bespoke claims processing software as well as e-payment
platform (Remita) creating an end-to-end electronic claims processing system.

With the solid support of the Honourable Minister of


Petroleum Resources, the Board is working very hard
at supporting Mr. President in implementing Changes
which will positively impact on the life of all
Nigerians.
